Hilarious Drag Parody Show Makes BBC Show

28/05/2019

“Drag Becomes Her”, a stage show currently touring in Manchester, has been critically acclaimed by many gay media, including the show reviews at the website “Cocktails and Cocktalk”. Drag Race stars Jinkx Monsoon and BenDeLa Crem joined the team on BBC Radio Four's arts magazine programme “Front Row” on Monday evening (Whitsun Bank Holiday) to chat about the theatre piece. “Drag Becomes Her” is a drag queen and king romp through the 1992 ultra camp classic movie “Death Becomes Her”. Australian gay men's website GayDaily.com takes up the story, reporting that “Death Becomes Her” starred a zombie version of Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn going head to head in mortal combat and is apparently, one of the most “achingly camp movies ever made”. Another gay website, Canal Steet. Co. uk, based in Manchester, praises the drag parody for hilarity and laughs throughout.
