Tech May Not be So Eco Friendly - Channel 4

16/11/2020

The LGBTQ community is known as a consumer of technology. Regardless of our age group, we tend to be ahead of the general population when it comes to gadgetry and tech. But we are also more likely to partake in recycling, reusing and to campaign on issues such as the environment and animal rights. So, what do we do when these values clash? It's a question we may all be left asking after Dispatches this evening (Monday 16th) on Channel Four Television. The documentary programme will be looking at how the tech giants have exaggerated their claims to being ecologically sound, and preferable to the old paper based communications economy. Instead, the programme, learns there are major problems with the idea that tech is always the solution to our environmental problems.
