Hark! Can you hear the distant sound of jingle bells? We know, we know, it seems criminal to talk of the festive season during the summer, but broadcasters and party planners have to be early. You see, many venues are bracing themselves for a bumper Christmas season due to people needing to let their hair down after a second year of disruption caused by the ongoing pandemic. Therefore, you have to get your parties booked earlier than normal. Our friends at Trans Radio UK, one of the family of radio stations that transmits our programme, is in there early, announcing that their Christmas Ball will take place on Saturday 11th December at the spectacular Riverside Glasshouse in Leamington Spa. Early bird tickets are on sale now at fifty five pounds per head. The event includes a luscious three course meal including a vegetarian option, and liberal bottles of wine. Partying goes on until midnight. What better way than this to get yourself in that festive mood. Okay, we promise not to mention the Christmas word again – well, not for a few weeks anyway.
