World AIDS Day is coming on 1st December, an annual commemoration of all that has been achieved in the fight against HIV, and a remembrance of those we have lost over the four decades of the pandemic. The National AIDS Trust have updated their web shop in readiness for the busiest season for HIV campaigning and fundraising. With all proceeds going to the work of the Trust, you can buy a wide variety of red ribbon branded merchandise, displaying proudly the symbol of AIDS solidarity and awareness. Amongst the offers that are new for 2023 is the handcarved fairtrade brooch. This red ribbon brooch was designed and made with Just Trade, who partner with small fair trade projects, for National AIDS Trust, the UK's HIV rights charity. By wearing the red ribbon you show solidarity with people living with, affected by, and lost to HIV. Sisters Olga and Elisa of Yurac Muyo Project in Quito, Ecuador, hand carved the brooch from a single tagua seed. The tagua palm tree grows wild in South American rainforest. It is used to make beautiful, unique and sustainable items, just like this one. To fundraise and buy red ribbon items, please visit: https://www.nat.org.uk/ourshop
