Media website RCS Radio Today reports that a national commercial network, Radio X, has joined forces with the mental health charity CALM to produce a series of podcasts aimed at addressing common psychological issues and increase people's resilience. Radio X is an “indie” / alt rock music station and has quite a male audience, so is perfect for reaching men who find it more difficult to talk about their mental health. The podcasts are narrated by personalities including comedians like Nish Kumar and Simon Neil from the Scottish rock band Biffy Clyro. Matt Deverson, Managing Editor of Radio X, said: “We are incredibly proud to launch our Mental Health Tool Kit in partnership with Campaign Against Living Miserably today.” He continued “We know that in an extraordinarily challenging year, many listeners have turned to radio and podcasts for support, and so our aim is to amplify the conversation around mental health and to share the resources that organisations like CALM can offer with our audience. These podcasts are accessible, open and supportive, and we are very grateful to CALM and to Iain, Nish, Ed, Jason and Simon for having this very important conversation with our listeners.”
