Men's Day Inspires Gym to Reach Out in Hope

25/11/2021

Community newspaper The Week In East Bristol reports that a gymnasium in the Warmley district is showing its support for International Men's Day and the associated campaign for better healthcare for men, called Movember. They will holding fancy dress boxing and wrestling through a twenty four hour period on Saturday 20th November.  “Our aim is to raise money for Movember and also raise awareness. There have been a number of suicides in our local area that have affected some of our members who were close friends and we want to show men that there are places they can go away from ego and bravado, places where they can talk to others that may share similar experiences, men from all walks of life who can offer advice and support or just a friendly ear in a time of need.”
