Josh Brings HIV Awareness to Brighton Airwave

10/03/2019

The popular Brighton based regional gay magazine Gscene meets up with Josh Sharp, a club DJ who also presents the HIV Hour on the city's multi-ethnic community station Radio Reverb. The HIV programme is one of the few dedicated shows dealing with the condition on radio in the UK. There are various HIV podcasts, but nothing else on FM broadcast radio, like Radio Reverb. For Josh, the programme grew out of a course called Work Positive organised by Terrence Higgins Trust South. He says that eventually he would like to present his own solo programme. In the meantime, the HIV Hour airs every second Thursday evening on Radio Reverb at 97.2 FM. With all gay channel Gaydio just launching a local service for Brighton on 97.8, there is a lot of queer media in the city of Brighton and we wish well to all involved.
