The Naz Project, the sexual health organization based in London which offers culturally appropriate support to people from South Asian, Arabic and immigrant communities, reports that it has forged new alliances in the fight against both poor sexual health and Covid19, alliances that could well stand the test of time and help challenge homophobia and racism together. The organization has been supplying boxes of essential supplies to clients and during the summer expanded its remit to work with the general community in getting emergency supplies to the public. In so doing, Naz has been working with Willesden Pakistani Community Centre, Brent Mosque and Muslim Hands and Adventist Development Relief Agency. In July, the popular high street eco-toiletries firm LUSH joined the project and has been supplying essential toiletries to go with the food parcels. Naz say “The intensity of 1:2:1 support has been profound; our early data shows there is a differential impact of the lock-down among our HIV positive, LGBT, migrant, refugee and women clients.”.
