Half of Poz People Experience Discrimination

04/12/2018

The communist daily paper The Morning Star, reports that one half of people living with HIV have experienced discrimination because of their status, which is the chief finding of a survey by the country's oldest HIV charity, the Terrence Higgins Trust. THT's Chief Executive Ian Green told the leftist paper, which has backed gay rights since 1976, that the fact that fifty nine per cent of positive people felt uncomfortable disclosing their status in the workplace, was “deeply saddening”. The report, said the Morning Star, came two days after the Labour MP for Brighton Kemptown had revealed that he is HIV positive in a speech to the House of Commons. Political websites noted that it was heartwarming that he was warmly supported by Members of Parliament from all political parties after the revelation.
