Choice Groups Question Policy at Conference

Campaign groups Abortion Talk, My Body My Life, and Doctors For Choice UK, report in the Guardian newspaper that they were invited to a national conference on reproductive choice but asked by representatives of the Royal Society of Medicine to obscure the phrase “clinicians for abortion rights” on their stands.  Dr Jane Dickson, a consultant in sexual and reproductive healthcare, who said: “I cannot believe that in 2022 the Royal Society has forbidden us to use the word Abortion at an Abortion Care conference.”  The Royal Society of Medicine says that it is investigating the reports.
