Calls to Sexual Abuse Charity Experience Rise

11/01/2022

Safeline, a helpline and agency assisting young men and boys who have been sexually abused, report that the need for their services has more than doubled this last year over 2020. That’s according to BBC Radio 1. Neil Henderson from the charity told reporters that as many as one in six men may have been the victim of sexual assault. As well as assaults by predatory women, charities also say that there is a certain amount of abuse within the LGBTQIA communities. Alex Feis Bryce runs a support charity called Survivors UK. He said that dating apps like Grindr could sometimes harbour predators. Survivors UK can be contacted at 020 33 22 1860 any day of the week or weekend between 12noon and 8pm.
