MSI Reproductive Choices Clinic at Brixton Hill in London, which has seen women using its services harrassed and shouted at, and clinic staff intimidated by anti-abortion extremists, has welcomed a House of Commons Vote which will introduce buffer zones around reproductive health clinics precisely to stop religious zealots from causing a public nuisance. Anti-abortion groups will be required to keep a distance of at least one hundred and fifty meters away from the entrances to clinics and other similar facilities. Angela Jones, regional general manager for MSI, said: “Abortion is essential healthcare, and we are grateful for the tremendous support we see for our work from the local community.” Local Member of Parliament Bell Ribeiro-Addy said “I am particularly concerned by the escalation of anti-abortion activity around the clinic in recent months. Women should be able to access these essential services without having to run a gauntlet of intimidation and harassment. That’s why I’ve written to Lambeth council urging them to implement a buffer zone around the clinic.” LGBTQIA people added their support for the new law, given that the anti-abortionists are often homophobic as well. Interestingly, Trans Exclusionary Supposed Feminist grouplets remain totally silent on abortion rights. Their critics say that this is because they have sold all women out by getting into bed with numerous far right wing anti-womens groups in order to further their anti-trans and anti-lesbian aims.
