In an interview with the Summer edition of Attitude magazine, Rupert Everett, fresh from his role as Oscar Wilde in the Happy Prince movie, speaks of his admiration for gay couples raising children and goes on the record to correct a misquote published in the Sunday Times magazine which appeared to suggest he was against samesex couples having kids. Mr Everett explained that frequently, when a paper wanted to make a homophobic remark, they don't do it directly, but distort the opinions of some one within the gay community to make the point for them. Mr Everett clarified that he was totally in support of gay parenting and couldn't be more delighted that lesbians, gay men and samesex couples were involved in childrearing, fostering and adoption.
