It seems that there is no lengths of cruelty and abuse that homophobes will not stoop to. The atheist magazine The Freethinker this month reports that a heterosexual Christian woman who abused her daughter in a case that was described to the court as “brutal”, has now had the sheer effrontery to criticise the placing of her poor offspring with foster parents. Michael Sousa of Wisconsin, inflicted such physical abuse on her daughter that the child suffered spinal injuries and bleeding on the brain. The courts intervened and placed the girl with a stable and loving gay family. Sousa, who described herself as trying to lead a God fearing life, complained about the placement. But the judge laughed her case out of court. Sousa was imprisoned for eight years for child abuse.
