One hundred thousand on streets of Hungary

29/04/2018

The left wing weekly paper Socialist Worker says that around one hundred thousand people have protested in Budapest against the government of Victor Orban, which is anti-gay and has also been accused of extreme anti-Semitism in its demonisation of European Union advocate George Soros. However, the protest movement itself is split between the left and progressive centrist parties and Jobbik, a neo-fascist party which is actually further to the right than Orban.
