Kylie for BBC Music Day - September 28th

03/08/2018

The princess of pop music, Kylie Minogue, who has a huge following amongst gay and trans people, is this year becoming the voice of the BBC’s music day.  The event will run across BBC Radio and Television services, including most of its national networks, services for the Celtic countries like BBC Radio Wales and Cymru and local services such as BBC Radio Bristol and BBC Radio Somerset.  On Friday 28th September, a massive line up on live and recorded music will air across the radio waves and will also tie in with coverage for Freshers Weekend, when Universities welcome new students, and which will be covered extensively on the BBC youth networks Radio 1  and Radio 1-Xtra.  Kylie meanwhile, will be recording special announcements for the railway network to promote Music Day.
