KERRANG! The heavy metal website, radio station and multimedia portal, says that Elton John has teased his fans that he is working on something with the legendary metal band Metallica. Elton was speaking on his own podcast show, called Rocket Man Hour and available on the Apple platform. Mr John said that during lockdown he had been working on “great stuff with other people”. The heavy metal world is busy speculating what Elton could have been working on with the band that helped define the West Coaste thrash sound in the eighties. Perhaps the answer lies with an interview that fellow pop artiste Miley Cyrus gave to London's Capital Radio. Ms Cyrus implied strongly that she and Elton John had recorded a cover of a Metallica song. Whatever the case, time will surely tell as the music industry revives from its lockdown period in coming months.
