Fans Split on Eilish "Queerbaiting" Posts

Poor Billie Eilish, regarded by some pop commentators as the next big thing in contemporary music, and by her detractors as an annoying, derivative, talentless charlatan. Many LGBTQ fans have given up on her after accusing her of “queerbaiting”, that is – pretending to be a member of our LGBTQ rainbow family when she is not. Explains Andrei Harmsworth, writing in the daily free paper The Metro, Ms Eilish was pictured at the weekend holding hands with her new boyfriend, Matthew Vorce. However, she has for some time been courting the proverbial Pink Pound of our community, by releasing captions such as “I love girls”. Many people online expressed exasperation at Eilish's latest antics. One said that she was “full of bull”.
