Channel Four television has a long history of queer friendly content, dating back to its opening night on 2nd November 1982, when future Stonewall co-founder Ian MacKellen starred in controversial film “Walter”. A few bumps along the way, when it appeared to commission programming from transphobic extreme feminists, the station is still producing LGBT friendly material. On Tuesday night, 25th June, a new series starts called “Drag SOS” will see introverted people helped to access their drag personas by an established LGBT drag collective called The Family Gorgeous. Tune in at ten o'clock for the exciting and fun new programme, with a very gay sensibility. Channel Four is available on all broadcast packages including Sky and Virgin. On Freeview, it is available at Channel Four, except in Wales, where it is on Freeview number Eight.
