Arlo Parks Wins Prestigious Mercury Prize

Jazz-FM Radio reports that Arlo Parks has won the Mercury Music Prize for her album Collapsed in Sunbeams. The Mercury Prize is an auspicious award first given in 1992 and is considered a trendier more musically relevant alternative to the Brit Awards. Previous winners have included PJ Harvey and Radiohead. Arlo Parks is a bisexual singer songwriter who has wowed critics in recent years with their work. She resides in London.
