Cosmopolitan Magazine reports on a new joint initiative between LGBTQIA lobby group Stonewall and the popular condom manufacturers Durex. The magazine says “Hundreds of studies have shown that well-implemented sex education can support positive sexual health outcomes that prevent the risk of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), unintended pregnancies, and sexual violence. Being taught how to make informed decisions about our sex life is just as important – if not more – then the act itself. And for LGBTQ+ people who have previously been left out of the discussion, affirming messages on sexual orientation, LGBTQ+ identities and relationships are vital”. The new web portal “All In” aims to redress the balance in favour of honest explorations of the many identities that exist under the LGBTQIA spectrum. It is sex positive and has been put together by accredited experts in relationships, sexual health promotion and education, and is aimed at young adults who have felt excluded by the still woefully inadequate sex ed in British schools.
