Writing in Medium.com, journalist Gemma Stone reveals that anti-transgender feminists have launched vicious verbal attacks on Rape Crisis Scotland. Stone suggests that these women have some logical issues, in that the reason for their attack on the Scotland organisation is because a totally separate Rape Crisis Centre, has a transwoman in a position of authority. Mridul Wadhwa heads up a Rape Crisis Centre in Edinburgh. Stone can find no evidence that they are linked in any direct way with Rape Crisis Scotland, other than both of these organisations are hard working and offering services to vulnerable and nearly exclusively cisgender women. Gemma says “ I just want to say this before we go on; there is absolutely nothing a rape crisis center could do to deserve this level of abuse. At its base, any center or shelter like this is a team of empassioned volunteers just trying to help and support victims of some of the most awful things a human being can go through.” Even some gender critical feminists agreed with Gemma, saying in online forums that the antics of transphobic women were now threatening women led services such as abortion and rape crisis care.
