Channel Four Television, the UK's former “radical” channel, which is today more mainstream in a complex marketplace, nevertheless offers some programmes of interest to LGBT people during Bank Holiday Monday / Whitsun Monday. “A Very British Sex Shop” goes at 10pm, and looks at the life of an adult superstore in the gay and trans capital of the UK, Brighton. The programme has been given a wide berth to chat to the owners and staff of adult businesses in Brighton and the show will be aired again on a Thursday night. Meanwhile, following this at 11pm, reports Totally TV Guide, the channel will broadcast a programme by and for women exploring the pleasures and pain of having a vagina. The hour long programme ends at midnight. Channel Four Television is available in England and Scotland on Freeview Channel 4, and in Wales on Freeview Channel 8 (this is because in Wales, the Welsh language network S4C occupies Freeview 4). Channel Four is also available on BT, Talk Talk, Virgin and Sky television cable platforms.
