Thornbury Community Radio Goes Live on FM

05/06/2021

ShoutOut has always been about coalition, and community radio services like this one are about having fun rather than building empires. After all, we are all volunteers and give up our time to give something back. So, we congratulate our friends over at Thornbury Radio, serving the towns and villages north of the great Bristol conurbation who are launching on FM next week. The big switch on happens on Monday 7th June and if you live in Thornbury or villages surrounding it such as Alveston, Old Down, Upper and Lower Morton, Elberton and Cowhill, then try 105.1 MHz or 107.5 MHz FM. Two FM transmitters will serve the community so as to avoid causing any interference to other services on the busy FM waveband. Of course, Thornbury Radio will still be available on smart devices and online. Congratulations to all involved and wherever you are, be sure to continue to support voluntary and community radio services like the ones ShoutOut transmits on.
