The September issue of GSCENE magazine is available in print in the Brighton area and nationally as a free to download PDF to browse on your tablet or screen or wherever. The magazine continues the very best traditions of the gay and trans press in a marketplace where many other titles have gone to the wall. Supported by the kind advertising of many LGBTQ and LGBTQ friendly businesses, the glossy full colour magazine has a wealth of information, reflection and reportage of interest to all of us, wherever we may sit under the broad LGBT+ rainbow. Perhaps fittingly, as we enter September and the wistful autumn, the magazine this month has as its theme “dying in the modern age”. There are a number of articles dealing with bereavement, death, making end of life plans, and practical advice on such issues as making a will. The sensitive and elegant reporting reminds us that all of us will be bereaved and that it is an experience common to all life on earth. If you need information, or just some sensitive reflection, then the September issue of Gscene has much to offer. And of course, elsewhere in the magazine, you will find all the latest news from Brighton's LGBTQ scene, and from the whole wider LGBTQ world. Whilst we have your attention, please do not forget that many bereavement groups and charities have special LGBTQ support networks available in person or via the internet. For immediate support, then remember you can phone or contact the London LGBTQ Switchboard on 0300 330 0630 or for signposting and referral, the Samaritans on 116 123. Never suffer in silence, speak and get support.
