Arts Group Breaks Down Barriers in Bristol

13/08/2022

Maddie Clarke-Newell writing in the local newspaper B247 reports that a safe space for women of all backgrounds is helping to break down barriers at the Arnolfini Arts Centre. Held in the second floor reading room of the prestigious venue, “Conversation and Craft” originally began as a project of Bristol Refugee festival. Now, however, it has expanded its remit and gone it alone, running every Friday between 11am and 1pm. One of the groups members, Faitma, said: “Other places can be isolating but here there are people from all religions, countries and backgrounds who we can all learn from.”
