Ironworks Supply Co
Ironworks Supply Co is a melting pot of coffee, food, beers, wine and fashion all wrapped up in our love of music and art. We have always had a love for good food and drink and after living in Sydney, Australia for 7 and a half years where we found an amazing food, drink and coffee culture, we felt a pull to come back to the UK and share our passions. We were originally going to set up in London but after 7 weeks of searching we came to a dead end. London was just not allowing us to do our cafe/bar and retail shop. We decided to head to Bristol to visit my brother and his family and after 2 days knew Bristol was the place we needed to be, a place where we could set up our dream shop and know that people would get it!

We are a local bar/kitchen in the heart of Southville serving local ales & freshly prepared food.

Our famous stone-baked 12” pizzas are made from organic flour and you will often see our pizza chefs kneading away to create their own dough. On Mondays you can enjoy 2 of our fantastic pizzas for just £12 (lunch & dinner).

The Hen is a fan of real ale & takes pride in pouring a great pint. Depending upon the season there are always three or four real ales on the bar, these tend to be local to the region with the guest ale changing every two weeks. We are Cask Marque accredited & have so far achieved 100% each year.

Theatres

Redgrave Theatre
Built in 1966 the Redgrave was originally known simply as the ‘Clifton College Theatre’. The design was based on the Mermaid Theatre in London and was the first purpose built school theatre in the country. The theatre was officially opened by the actor Sir Michael Redgrave - an ex-student of the college. After Sir Michael's death in 1985 the building was renamed ‘The Redgrave Theatre’ in his honour.

Originally the theatre was only used for college events, but in the 1970’s the decision was made for the theatre to be hired out to local amateur dramatic groups during the holidays.

Since then the popularity of the Redgrave has continued to grow. Today, as well as continuing to host some of the same amateur dramatics groups that first visited the theatre back in the 70's, the theatre plays host to a variety of professional touring companies, comedians, film societies, music concerts and dance pieces.
