Lesbian politician and essayist Ruth Davidson, who is also the leader of the Conservative Party in Scotland, writes in the I Newspaper that Donald Trump “does not define America”. In an Op Ed piece for the paper, Ruth says “Mr Trump is prepared to sell out his own intelligence agencies and exonerated Putin”. But she also strikes a positive note, saying that Michelle Obama had recently given a speech at a dinner and that Bill Gates visited a Scottish foundation working with him to tackle malnutrition in Africa. These, she says, are the real spirit of the United States.
