Jeremy Corbyn, the leader of the Labour Party, is the latest politician to reveal the extent of hate mail that our elected representatives receive from far right wingers and fundamentalists. Mr Corbyn made the revelation in a meeting on anti-Semitism within the hard left and Labour Party with Dame Margaret Hodge, a long time campaigner against anti-Semitism and fascism. The meeting was leaked to the Sunday Times and also reported by the Metro daily paper. Mr Corbyn is a long time supporter of a wide variety of progressive causes, including the separation of church and state, campaigns for rationality and science and LGBT liberation. He has spoken out in favour of gay and trans inclusive education and against the menace of right wing populists such as Le Pen in France and Bolsanaro in Brazil.
