Television Treats for Tuesday

04/03/2019

On Tuesday 5th March, there will be several television programmes which might pique LGBT viewers' interest.

The lead singer of pop group "Years and Years", Olly Alexander, will be looking back at his own experiences and meeting with activists, clubbers and mental health professionals to consider how bullying and homophobic attitudes impact on gay, lesbian and bisexual lives. More importantly, he will consider what can be done about this state of affairs.  Olly will be on BBC 1 at 11.05pm.  The programme is called "Growing Up Gay".

Meanwhile, over on BBC 4, England versus Japan is the televised full match in the Women's Football International Championship.  Coverage starts at 10pm, and there will also be updates and highlights of the game on the radio networks BBC Radio 5-Live, TalkSport and TalkSport 2.
