Pro-choice campaigners led by the group Sisters United are celebrating this week, says the Guardian, after successfully lobbying for an exclusion zone to be set up around a Marie Stopes Abortion clinic in Ealing. The hope is that the exclusion area will prevent militant anti-abortionists from importing US style confrontational protest tactics to British shores. According to the Guardian newspaper, radical Christian fundamentalist activists had been picketing the Ealing clinic more and more vocally in recent months, handing out graphic leaflets and in a bizarre if not comical twist, telling women arriving for terminations that the ghosts of aborted foetuses would torment them and their families
