Ana Matronic is – most people would concur – an LGBT icon. As a member of the Scissor Sisters, she helped revive some much needed campery and flamboyance into popular music during the noughties.
Now, Matronic is joining the Winchester based trans people’s support group and educational trust Chrysalis as a patron. The group said that they were very pleased that Ana had responded to an invite to support the charity.
Ana keeps alive the sound of gay disco from the seventies on her national radio programme, on BBC Radio Two at midnight on Saturday evenings. You can listen on 89.3 FM in Bristol, DAB digital radio and Freeview 702.
