Poz People Urged to Get Flu Jabbed for Winter

25/10/2018

The free newspaper for the older generation, Mature Times, based in the West but with national reach, has urged all eligible people, including those living with HIV, to take up the annual offer of a flu jab from the NHS. Addressing myths around the immunisation injection, the paper reports that around ten thousand annual deaths could be avoided in people with long term health conditions if everyone took up the flu jab as offered. Mature Times notes that few people experience an allergic reaction and that it is a fabrication of conspiracy theorists that the flu jab will actually give you full below influenza. If you are HIV positive and are interested in getting your flu booster, please speak with your healthcare professional, or contact your HIV support charity.
