It would be wrong for us to say that all LGBT people like commercial dance music, such as Flatboy Slim, Arman Van Helden or the Weather Girls. After all, our friends over at online station Trans Radio UK have just launched a heavy metal programme aimed at the many trans people into thrash, speed and commercial metal. However, there are a lot of the community who have bonded, found love and had a great time to gay friendly club music. It’s a staple on gay run networks like Gaydio and Pride Radio. Now, a new national service is to join them in playing non stop commercial dance music. Heart Dance goes on the air across the UK on digital DAB platforms from Friday 21st, playing a diet including handbag house, commercial house and classic club beats. Deejays will be looking for messages from people with requests and dedications, so if you have a partner or clubbing friend who might appreciate a tune, drop the station a line. Of course, do also keep listening and supporting your local community or small business radio station, such as the one you are tuned to now.
