Are you familiar with European styles of music ranging from Eurohouse to schlager? They all originate from Germany and the low countries of Belgium, Denmark and Holland, where they are very popular. Eurohouse and trance are staples on Germany's gay, lesbian and fetish club scenes, whilst schlager music is popular in the Netherlands and can be heard on the many pirate stations that crowd the upper medium wave band late at night. Now, Bristol's Bear Bar, a popular purpose built and modern venue which despite its name, also welcomes many female, transgender and heterosexual guests, is to host a EuroParty, to celebrate all things musically related to the low countries and Germany. Expect the aforementioned Eurohouse, schlager, and cheeseie pop music from the continent and hand out in a decidedly European vibe! It is not known whether the Bear Bar team intended the night to be a comment on Britain's imminent withdrawal from the European Union or not! Visit the Bristol Bear Bar website for more information.
