BBC Local radio services are returning to local programming during the evenings, after a long period of time when virtually the whole network of BBC local services were taking the same output after dark, reports the media website RCS Radio Today. Well, you may ask yourself why this is of interest to the LGBT communities. Well, David Wight is now on the air on a Saturday evening on three regional services – BBC Radio Bristol, Radio Wiltshire and Radio Somerset. His show of upfront house music and disco classics will appeal to many club goers who grew up with these quintessentially queer and trans friendly types of music. These BBC local services are available on FM, digital DAB and Freeview platforms.
