Radical lesbian feminist activists who dislike trans people have been accused of betraying women everywhere by an insider, even as they took responsibility for vandalising public statues and monuments in a number of locations across the UK. The respected LGBT newswire Pink News alleges that local authorities across the UK had to remove the vandalism, which took place on 28th January and even included a peace monument. Trans activists said that the defacing of public property echoed the feminist hijacking of London Pride last summer, during which the rainbow flag was trampled over and a tribute to gay NHS workers was obscured. The type of separatist feminism that dislikes trans women has now been accused of betraying the whole of the women’s movement, by leaping into bed with homophobic, and anti-women groups from the US, many of them linked with fundamentalist forms of religion. The revelations were made by feminist Jean Hatchet, who although retaining her trans critical stance, is reportedly so disgusted with the betrayal of women’s interests by radical feminists, that she felt obliged to speak out.
