LGBT Groups Join in Condemntation of Embassy

LGBTQ people who are supportive of the liberation campaign of the Palestinian people, have teamed up with representatives of Jewish and Islamic groups to condemn the choice of Pastor Robert Jeffreys to open the new US Embassy in the contested city of Jerusalem, an event which prompted violence between Palestinian protestors and the Israeli Defence Force in which several people were killed.  Mr Jeffrey’s is known for making several factually inaccurate and fanciful claims about homosexuality and transgender people, including that they are more likely to be paedophiles or interested in bestiality.  Jeffreys is also an anti-semite, which makes him a strange choice for opening an embassy in the Jewish state of Israel.  He also believes that other branches of Christianity such as Mormons, are going to go to hell.  Meanwhile, pro-Palestinian groups have sharply criticised the entire notion of opening an embassy in Jerusalem, with a broad coalition of them arguing that it is a disgraceful provocation.
