The West Country local TV channel Bristol TV reports that the annual Midnight Walk has taken place in aid of St Peter's Hospice. The local hospice is one of the city's largest charities, running a string of charity shops and was a major presence at regional Pride Festivals this summer, having launched their own range of rainbow themed stickers for people to collect, and having a huge rainbow clothing display at one of their flagship city centre shops on Bond Street, only a few yards walk from the specialist gay retailer Prowler. For the first time, men were taking part in the Midnight Walk this year. People dressed as superheros and historical figures, or just donned fancy dress for the fun late night stroll with a serious intent, to raise funds for the palliative care and end of life services offered to the diverse communities of the West.
